Terms of Service

Bass Parenting Coach

Last Updated: October 19, 2026 Effective Date: October 19, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Bass Parenting Coach LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"), governing your use of the Bass Parenting Coach mobile application and related services (the "App").

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Who May Use the App

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. The App is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers.

You may create profiles for children in your care. By doing so, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise authorized to provide information about them.

You may also share a child's profile with one co-parent. Section 8 sets out what you are agreeing to when you do.

The App is not intended for use by children. Do not allow a child to use your account.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at richard@richardbassauthor.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

4. NOT MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SECTION OF THESE TERMS. PLEASE READ IT.

The App provides general educational and informational content and AI-generated coaching suggestions. It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, diagnostic, therapeutic, or any other professional healthcare service.

Specifically:

IN AN EMERGENCY: If you believe you, your child, or anyone else is in danger, contact emergency services immediately. In the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In the United Kingdom, call 999, or contact Samaritans at 116 123. Do not rely on the App in an emergency.

5. The AI Features

The App's AI Coach and AI-generated routines, tips, and charts are powered by third-party artificial intelligence technology. By using them, you understand and agree that:

6. Subscriptions and Payment

The App offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Premium").

Current pricing: - $9.99 per month, or - $69.99 per year

One subscription, two parents. A Premium subscription also gives Premium access to one co-parent who shares at least one child with you in the App. This is part of your subscription, not a separate purchase, and it is not transferable or resellable. It ends when your subscription ends, or when you no longer share a child with that person. We may change or withdraw this arrangement with notice.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

8. Sharing With a Co-Parent

The App lets you share a child's profile with one other parent or caregiver (a "co-parent"), who then sees that child's profile, progress logs, and routines. Our Privacy Policy, Sections 5.1 to 5.3, describes exactly what is shared and what happens when sharing ends.

Your right to share. You may share a child's profile only with another parent or legal guardian of that child, or with someone you are legally permitted to share that child's information with. Each time you share, you confirm that you have that right, and that no court order, custody arrangement, or other agreement prevents you from sharing this information.

What you write is seen. Your co-parent sees the entries you add to a shared child's record, and any AI Coach conversation you choose to share. You are responsible for what you write there.

Either parent can leave; neither can remove the other. Stopping sharing ends only your own access. The other parent keeps the child's full record, including the entries you wrote, and may keep it after you delete your account. If you end sharing, you may keep your own copy of the records as they stood at that moment, which your former co-parent cannot see.

We do not resolve disputes between parents. We do not verify parentage, custody arrangements, or court orders, and we will not adjudicate a disagreement between two parents about a child's records. We are not obliged to remove one parent at the other's request. We may, at our sole discretion, end a sharing arrangement or suspend an account where we are served with a valid court order, or where we have credible reason to believe the feature is being used to harm a child or an adult. Nothing in this section obliges us to act, or makes us responsible for how a co-parent uses information you chose to share with them.

Legal requests. We may disclose a shared child's records where the law requires it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Records in the App may be sought in family-law proceedings.

9. Our Content and Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including written content, printable resources, frameworks, designs, and material licensed from RBG Publishing LLC — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and to print and use downloadable resources for your own family's personal, non-commercial use.

You may not redistribute, republish, sell, or use our content commercially, including in a classroom, clinical practice, or other professional setting, without our written permission.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT OR AI-GENERATED RESPONSE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION.

YOU USE THE APP AND ANY CONTENT OR SUGGESTION IN IT AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, and the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by the law of your country of residence.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the App's settings or by contacting richard@richardbassauthor.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. If we discontinue the App entirely, we will give reasonable notice and, where practical, an opportunity to export your data.

If we close your account, children you share stay with your co-parent, as described in Section 5.3 of our Privacy Policy.

Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15 survive termination.

14. Changes to the App and These Terms

We may modify the App and these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please contact us at richard@richardbassauthor.com. Most problems are resolved quickly and without formality.

Nothing here prevents either party from bringing a claim in small claims court, or prevents you from filing a complaint with a government agency.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and the mandatory consumer protection laws of that country continue to apply to you.

16. Apple and Google

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

17. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the App. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
