Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Bass Parenting Coach
Last Updated: September 10, 2026 Effective Date: September 10, 2026
1. Purpose of This Policy
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how Bass Parenting Coach collects, uses, shares, and protects consumer health data, as that term is defined under the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar state laws.
This policy applies in addition to our general Privacy Policy. Where this policy addresses consumer health data specifically, it controls.
We are Bass Parenting Coach LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in San Antonio, Texas.
2. What We Consider Consumer Health Data
Some information you choose to provide may qualify as consumer health data because it relates to your child's mental or physical health status. Specifically:
- Neurodivergence profile selections — the profile you select for a child (autism, ADHD, AuDHD, ODD, ODD + ADHD, or ODD + autism)
- Progress log entries — behavior notes, mood selections, and any free-text notes you record
- AI Coach conversations — the content of messages you send and receive, which may describe behaviors, symptoms, emotional states, or treatment
- Content interaction data — which health-related content you view or save, where that reveals a health status
We do not collect precise geolocation data, biometric identifiers, genetic information, or health insurance information.
3. Whose Health Data This Concerns
Most consumer health data in the App concerns a child, and is entered by that child's parent or legal guardian, who holds the account.
Some consumer health data may concern you, the parent — for example, if you describe your own stress, emotional state, or wellbeing in an AI Coach conversation.
4. How We Collect Consumer Health Data
We collect consumer health data only when you actively provide it. We do not collect it passively, from third parties, from data brokers, or by tracking you across other websites and apps.
We collect it when you: - Create or edit a child profile and select a neurodivergence profile - Record an entry in the progress tracker - Send a message to the AI Coach
5. How We Use Consumer Health Data
We use consumer health data solely to:
- Show you content relevant to the profile you selected
- Maintain your progress logs so you can review them over time
- Generate AI Coach responses and personalized routines relevant to your situation
- Maintain your AI Coach conversation history so you can return to it
- Provide customer support when you request it
- Maintain the security and integrity of the App
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App's features for you.
6. How We Share Consumer Health Data
WE DO NOT SELL CONSUMER HEALTH DATA. We have never sold it and we do not intend to. Under Washington law, selling consumer health data requires your separate written authorization. We do not seek such authorization because we do not sell this data.
We share consumer health data only with the following service providers, only as needed to operate the App, and only under contracts restricting their use of it:
| Who | Category | What they receive and why |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase) | Cloud infrastructure | Stores account data, child profiles, progress logs, and conversation history so the App can function |
| Google LLC (Vertex AI / Gemini) | AI service provider | Receives the content of your AI Coach messages and the child's profile and age in order to generate a response |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management | Receives subscription status and an anonymized identifier. Does not receive health data. |
We may also disclose consumer health data where required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process, or where necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person.
7. Your Rights Regarding Consumer Health Data
Under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Know and access what consumer health data we have collected about you or your child, including a list of all third parties with whom we have shared it
- Withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of consumer health data
- Delete consumer health data, including from our archived and backup systems
How to exercise these rights. Email richard@richardbassauthor.com with the subject line "Consumer Health Data Request," or use the deletion options in the App's settings.
We will confirm receipt within 10 days and respond substantively within 45 days. We may extend once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and will tell you if we do.
Consequences of deletion or withdrawal. If you delete consumer health data or withdraw consent, the personalized features of the App will no longer function for that profile, and your progress history and conversation history will be permanently gone. We cannot recover deleted data.
Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Washington Attorney General at https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
8. How Long We Keep Consumer Health Data
We retain consumer health data only while your account is active and you continue to use the relevant features. When you delete an entry, a child profile, or your account, we delete the associated consumer health data within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
9. How We Protect Consumer Health Data
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, account-scoped access rules that prevent any user from accessing another user's data, required authentication, verification that requests originate from the legitimate App, and restricted access to production systems.
10. Who Has Access
Bass Parenting Coach LLC is operated by a single owner. Access to consumer health data is limited to the owner and to the service providers listed in Section 6, who process it on our behalf. We do not have employees or contractors with access to consumer health data.
11. Children
The App is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or provide their own information. Consumer health data about a child is provided by that child's parent or guardian.
If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at richard@richardbassauthor.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We will not collect, use, or share consumer health data for purposes beyond those described here without first obtaining your affirmative consent. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and by email before they take effect.
