Last Updated: September 10, 2026 Effective Date: September 10, 2026

1. Who We Are

Bass Parenting Coach (the "App," "we," "us," "our") is operated by Bass Parenting Coach LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in San Antonio, Texas.

Questions about this policy or your data: richard@richardbassauthor.com

2. Who This App Is For

Bass Parenting Coach is designed for and directed to parents, guardians, and caregivers who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or use the App directly.

Parents using the App may choose to enter information about their children. That information is provided by the parent, about their child, and remains under the parent's control. See Section 5.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account information. Your email address and password, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. We do not store your password in readable form.

Child profile information. If you create a child profile, we collect the name or nickname you enter, the child's age, and the neurodivergence profile you select (autism, ADHD, AuDHD, ODD, ODD + ADHD, or ODD + autism). You are not required to use your child's real name — a nickname or initial works equally well, and we encourage this.

Progress log entries. Behavior notes, mood selections, and any free-text notes you choose to record.

AI Coach conversations. The messages you send to the AI Coach and the responses you receive. These are stored so you can return to past conversations.

Subscription information. If you subscribe, your subscription status. We never see or store your payment card details. Payments are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and we receive only confirmation of whether your subscription is active.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

Technical and diagnostic data. Device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and general usage patterns such as which features are opened and how often. We use this to fix problems and improve the App.

We do not collect precise location data. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not display advertising in the App.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Information About Children

We take information about children especially seriously.

The App is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at richard@richardbassauthor.com and we will delete it.

6. Service Providers and Third Parties

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes data on our behalf, under contractual restrictions on their use of it.

Provider What it does What it may process
Google LLC (Firebase) Authentication, database, file storage, crash reporting Account information, child profiles, progress logs, conversation history
Google LLC (Vertex AI / Gemini) Powers the AI Coach and AI-generated routines, tips, and charts The content of your AI messages and your child's profile context
RevenueCat, Inc. Subscription management Subscription status and an anonymized identifier
Apple Inc. / Google LLC Payment processing (App Store, Google Play) Payment details, which we never receive

About the AI features. When you send a message to the AI Coach, or generate a personalized routine, tip, or chart, that request — along with your child's selected profile and age — is sent to Google's Vertex AI service to generate a response. Please do not include your child's full name, address, school name, medical record numbers, or other identifying details in AI Coach messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect against imminent harm to a person.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including:

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You can, at any time:

To delete your entire account and all associated data, use the Delete Account option in the App's settings, or email richard@richardbassauthor.com. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection.

Our legal bases for processing are: - Contract — to provide the App's features you have signed up for - Consent — for consumer health data, including the child profile information you choose to enter - Legitimate interests — to secure the App, prevent abuse, and fix problems

You may withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and in the UK with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Your data is processed and stored in the United States. Transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards maintained by our service providers.

9. Data Retention

If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

10. This App Is Not Medical Care

Bass Parenting Coach provides educational and informational content and AI-generated coaching suggestions. It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or diagnostic services, and it is not a substitute for professional care. The AI Coach is an automated system, not a licensed professional, and it can be wrong.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding your child's health, development, or treatment.

If you or your child are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services immediately. In the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In the United Kingdom, call 999, or contact Samaritans at 116 123.
